Renault Koleos - The Rivals

Renault Koleos not really doing it for you? Don't worry, the compact 4x4 market is one of the most contested markets in the automotive industry. Here are five other soft-roaders worth your hard earned.

1. Ford Kuga
Pick of the range: Titanium 2.0 TDCi 5dr £22,495

The Ford Kuga is one of the best on road off-roaders in its class. It's sharp, funky styling is an undoubted boon in such a staid market and there are plenty of functional considerations too, like a handy split tailgate. That said, there are more spacious alternatives on offer and it's pricey too.
