On the outside
The XF’s modern aesthetic certainly challenges Jaguar’s previous retro design direction – let’s be honest, it needed to be challenged - but there are enough subtle references in there for the shape to remain distinctly Jaguar. Admittedly, it isn’t as balls out as the C-XF concept, probably in fear of giving Jaguar’s current owners a heart attack, but it’s still bold and distinctive enough to attract a wider audience.

The rear three-quarters is definitely the best angle, looking particularly sophisticated thanks to the combination of a subtle signature plate and the re-introduction of the leaping Jaguar graphic. It’s a graphic which design director Ian Callum says you’ll be seeing more of in the next generation of Jags.
