Jaguar and Land Rover might just have been sold, but don't expect a drought of new models. Tata has bought into their development plan and here's our insiders guide to what to expect between now and 2016.
2009
Jaguar: New XFR and XKR.
Late next year a new 5.0-litre direct-injection petrol V8 goes into production. It will come in naturally aspirated and supercharged forms, the n/a with around 380bhp and the supercharged with about 500bhp.
Land Rover: Range Rover and RR Sport facelifts.
To go with their new 5.0-litre V8s, the two RR models also get new interiors, with revised dashes, switchgear and new interior trim.

Range Rover Sport will be updated next year.
2010
Jaguar: New Jag XJ
A rapid-fire re-skin for Jag’s pipe-and-slippers flagship will bring its styling in line with the new XF. It won’t be a clone of the XF, just inspired by it. It will be similar in size to the current car, but an interior redesign will release more legroom.

Land Rover: Discovery facelift.
Land Rover’s seven-seater gets a new, higher-quality interior and the n/a 380bhp 5.0 V8, which important for the US market.
