Thought I’d continue our countdown to re-launch with a little look at our new Car Review page.
The structure will look similar to our current Sky Drives but there'll be some important tweaks. Bigger pictures will help you get closer to the car; the writing will be fun and engaging, while our new star ratings will leave you in no doubt as to what we think.
And to underline our commitment to great writing, we're introducing a cliche box. As a way of banishing all those terrible Alan Partridge-style phrases like ‘pedal to the metal’, ‘push to the limit’, ‘pins you to the back of your seat’ and our favourite, ‘handles like its on rails’, we’ve introduced this Ford Escort motoring money box.
The premise of this is simple. Should you or we find any writer on our site riddling his article with cliché, we’ll dock some money out of their pay check and put it into the Escort money box. All proceeds will go to charity.
In the end, you’ll have great content, great pictures and a much better site.
